    Update On My Life.................

    Thursday, September 13, 2007, 12:34 PM [General]

This has been one heck of a year! Two surgeries in 6 months can be extremely hard.

As most of you know, I had my gallbladder out in Feb. The fact is, I have not had one minute that has been pain free since then. I've had 5 different CAT scans and several test and the doctors still do not know why I am still in pain. Then I can not even see the doctor again until the beginning of November.

Then in June, I had an incisional hernia fixed. The initial surgery went well but what happened afterward was a nightmare. The entire ordeal has left me with post traumatic stress. I haven't written about it because I just can't seem to finish when I start. I've also been left with bouts of depression. I have never been treated so badly in my entire life. I truly thought that I was going to die at the hands of this doctor.

Because of the pain and the fact that all of this is not over with yet, is why I haven't been anywhere online very much lately. On good days I'll read the journals but other times I may not even get online for a week. I thank those of you who have not forgotten about me and who will comment to me when I do manage to post. You are sometimes my lifeline to my real life.

The year also started out with the hubby's job having difficulties. But we have been blessed because he has not been out of work for one day, his company has managed to keep him working.

The grandbabies are doing so good! They are growing like weeds. I'm blessed because even though I cannot be there, I get to see them on the web cam. I love this new computer age.

I've started watching two new daytime tv shows, Rachael Ray and Tyra Banks. OK, I know these are not new but they are new to me, I've always been a late bloomer when it comes to tv shows, usually by the time I start watching it's going off the air. Yesterday, Tyra had one of the best shows I've ever seen, she did a Teen Town. If any of you get a chance to see this show, it's worth your time to watch. I truly enjoyed it.

I can't believe that we are so close to Mabon already. I'm planning on getting together with a few witchy friends that I have met.

Well I've better close for now. I hope all of you are having a good week! Brightest Blessing to all of you!

The Last Line Says It All........................

    Wednesday, September 12, 2007, 03:42 PM [General]

This was written by an 83-year-
    old woman to her friend.
*The last line says it all. *

    Dear Bertha,
I'm reading more and dusting less. I'm sitting in the
yard and admiring the view without fussing about the
weeds in the garden. I'm spending more time with my
family and friends and less time working.
Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of
experiences to savor, not to endure. I'm trying to
recognize these moments now and cherish them.
I'm not "saving" anything; we use our good china
and crystal for every special event such as losing a
pound, getting the sink unstopped, or the first
    Amaryllis blossom.
I wear my good blazer to the market. My theory is if
I look prosperous, I can shell out $28.49 for one small
bag of groceries. I'm not saving my good perfume for
special parties, but wearing it for clerks in the
hardware store and tellers at the bank.
"Someday" and "one of these days" are losing their
grip on my vocabulary. If it's worth seeing or hearing
or doing, I want to see and hear and do it now.
I'm not sure what others would've done had they known
they wouldn't be here for the tomorrow that we all take for
granted. I think they would have called family members
and a few close friends. They might have called a few
former friends to apologize and mend fences for past s
quabbles. I like to think they would have gone out for
a Chinese dinner or for whatever their favorite food was.
    I'm guessing; I'll never know.
It's those little things left undone that would make me
angry if I knew my hours were limited. Angry because
I hadn't written certain letters that I intended to write
one of these days. Angry and sorry that I didn't tell my
husband and parents often enough how much I truly
love them. I'm trying very hard not to put off, hold
back, or save anything that would add laughter and
luster to our lives. And every morning when I open
my eyes, tell myself that it is special.
    Every day, every minute, every
breath truly is a gift from God/Goddess.
If you received this, it is because someone cares for you.
If you're too busy to take the few minutes that it takes
right now to forward this, would it be the first time you
didn't do the little thing that would make a difference
    in your relationships?
I can tell you it certainly won't be the last.
Take a few minutes to send this to a few people you care
about, just to let them know that you're thinking of them.
"People say true friends must always hold hands, but true
friends don't need to hold hands because they know the
other hand will always be there."

Life may not be the party we hoped for,
but while we are here we might as well dance.

    Where Has Summer Gone?.............

    Tuesday, August 14, 2007, 07:14 PM [General]

Wow, I can't believe that it's already the middle of August! I'm not complaining because Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the rustle of the leaves on a windy day.

It's been a very busy summer. We're hoping to get a few more trips before summer ends. We went to Mount Rushmore, last days off. We're going back To Salt Lake these days off. I have a few supplies to pick up at Spellbound.

Hope all of you are having a great week! Brightest Blessings!
